Stuttgart has a lot to offer in culinary terms and one chic restaurant follows the next. But who can keep track of it all? And where can you really go for an excellent meal?
No one can help more than Gault&Millau, the French restaurant guide, which awards up to five chef’s hats to fine restaurants. The exciting thing here is that, unlike the Michelin star, Gault&Millau only rates the cuisine, not the service and atmosphere. Restaurants that are outstanding in their category receive a rating. We present three of the best restaurants in Stuttgart, according to Gault&Millau.
1st Speisemeisterei
The clear winner, awarded three chef’s hats, is the Speisemeisterei in Hohenheim. Head chef Stefan Gschwendtner impresses with an exciting, sustainable approach: “Regionality goes on a journey”. Numerous awards for the restaurant prove that this only happens with high-quality ingredients and true skill. The verdict of Gault&Millau: “Highest creativity and quality, best possible preparation”. We say: let’s go!

2. 5 “Five”
What was once Stuttgart’s first train station is now a stylish gourmet restaurant with many awards. Head chef Alexander Dinter impresses with his “Passion” menu, creating an experience that stimulates the five senses. Gault&Millau awards two chef’s hats with the rating “High level of culinary art, creativity and quality – outstanding in its category.” Definitely worth a visit!

3rd Fässle le Restaurant
As you might have guessed, regional and French cuisine come together at Fässle. What you can find fresh at Stuttgart’s weekly markets is combined with chef Patrick Giboin ‘s French roots to create an international, modern French cuisine that deserves its praise. Gault&Millau has awarded him two chef’s hats and the verdict “High level of culinary art, creativity and quality”. What are you waiting for?
