The famous Disney theme park will reopen its doors on June 17 after months of lockdown.
Both Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios parks, Disney Village and Disney’s Newport Club will reopen on the announced date, while the highly anticipated new Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel will reopen later on June 21.
Tickets are already available via an online reservation system, but only in limited numbers. Health and social distancing measures will apply. For example, all guests over the age of six must wear a mask. In addition, as with last year’s summer reopening of the park, visitor measuring devices will be set up. On top of this, the Fast Pass and Single Riders lanes will remain closed until further notice.
The park in Marne-la-Vallée near Paris had to close again last fall due to the Covid 19 pandemic and has not yet received any visitors. The record-breaking 15 million tourists from 2019 will probably not be reached this year either. Nevertheless, it is hard to imagine that Disneyland will not remain the tourist attraction it has always been.
In France, outdoor catering areas, stores and cultural institutions are allowed to reopen from May 19. The reopening of theme parks has been approved by the French government for June 9.
