Whether you want to linger, read a book, have a picnic or take a relaxing stroll – for us, parks are little green oases in the middle of the vibrant Kessel. So that you can hang out in only the most beautiful green spaces, we present our absolute favorite parks in the Kessel.
1st Höhenpark Killesberg
Clear 1st place! The Killesberg is the largest inner-city park that Stuttgart has to offer. Here you can relax and enjoy nature or experience a bit of action on the park railroad and in the outdoor pool. The Höhenpark is a great excursion destination for young and old and is our absolute favorite park in the Kessel.
2. castle garden
A park for the perfect stroll. In the upper palace garden you can marvel at the art building and the state parliament, the backdrop with the opera, the theater and the Württemberg state parliament. In the middle palace garden, the Café am Nil invites you to enjoy a cool beer. In the lower part of the park, you can enjoy great green spaces, lots of nature and water. A park that really has it all.
3rd Chinese Garden
Did you know that classic Chinese gardens are worlds on a small scale? Layers of stone represent mountains, ponds are reminiscent of the oceans and garden plants represent the natural vegetation of the world. You can marvel at all this in the Chinese garden. We are fans!
4th Weissenburg Park Teahouse
Here you can enjoy a great view over Stuttgart and have a cup of tea in the teahouse. A great destination for a relaxing day out in the countryside. If you’re feeling sporty, you can climb the entire mountain on foot. However, you can also shorten the tour a little by taking the underground or streetcar.
5th Hohenheim Gardens
Attention plant lovers! This is your park. Here you’ll find all kinds of biodiversity and exciting signage for those with a thirst for knowledge. There are also many romantic corners to relax and linger. Definitely worth a visit.
We hope you enjoy walking or hanging out in our five favorite parks in the Kessel!
