It is located in Ashdown Forest in southern England and can be booked via Airbnb.
It seems that fiction and reality are merging more and more every day. A few days ago we found out that the Smurf Village really exists. Now the word is that England has a real Hundred Acre Wood. What’s next?
Because now you can book a nostalgic trip to the land where Piglet, Christopher Robin and the whole gang roam via Airbnb and stay in a themed apartment based on the much-loved Pooh the Bear.
The neat little house was built with the aim of celebrating the 95th anniversary of the children’s tale, and was therefore built in Ashdown Forest in southern England: A.A. Milne’s inspiration for the Hundred Acre Wood.
And given the excellent work done by the creator of the house, even Pooh could say thank you with a jar of his best honey. That’s how well it’s actually done justice to E.H. Shepherd’s illustrations.
The host for visitors is none other than Kim Raymond, the Winnie the Pooh illustrator for thirty years. He is also responsible for the interior design of the house, which is based on Shepherd’s original drawings.
Speaking about the house, Raymond said: “I have been illustrating Winnie the Pooh for 30 years and continue to draw inspiration from the classic decorations by E.H. Shepard and the more recent Disney stories. The ‘Bärbnb’ is a unique experience that brings Pooh’s charm to life for fans while honoring the original adventures that have been so important to many people for 95 years.” Kim Raymond’s “Bärbnb” sleeps up to four people and features Pooh-themed décor in the surrounding forest.
Honestly, the joy that bubbles out of you when you look at the photos of this magical place is sure to be shared by many fans of Pooh. So we’ll just add a few more pictures below to show you the true beauty of this place.
One thing’s for sure: there’s honey in the pot.
