After evaluating the residents’ wishes for the participatory budget, the Mühlhausen district council seems inclined to build a fountain in Max-Eyth-See.
The Mühlhausen district council recently evaluated the proposals that received the highest ratings from residents and published its opinion on them. Among them, the proposal for a fountain in Lake Max-Eyth stands out.
The idea is to solve the lack of oxygen in the lake, which led to the death of more than 50,000 fish in 2019. Solar panels could be installed to operate the fountain’s water pumps, eliminating the need for frequent maintenance.
Further tree work is also planned around the lake: Toilet facilities are expected to be installed at the classroom by the lake. The playgrounds at Schlosspark, Scillawaldstraße and Stüble are also to be renovated.
Although the construction of the fountain has not yet been officially approved, at least we can already imagine the Max-Eyth-See with its new landmark.
