“Quälend süße Einsamkeit” will be streamed for free tonight – with the accompanying live music of the Stuttgart State Orchestra itself.
Corona and the lockdown have proven to be a tough and lonely experience for almost all of us. Now a group of film artists have come together to show us their own vision of the extraordinary event via the Stuttgart State Opera’s streaming service.
The films, each filmed in the span of just over 4 days during the first lockdown, tell six different stories that reflect the suffering and loneliness of all people in such a situation. Well-known local landmarks such as the home stadium of the Stuttgarter Kickers, the Stammheim high-security courtroom and Stuttgart Airport served as backdrops.
On top of this, the films are accompanied live by musicians from the Stuttgart State Orchestra, which reinforces the feeling of fear and distress that the images convey.
The premiere of the short films begins on the State Opera stream today at 8.30 pm. Don’t miss it!
