Based on satellite photos since 1984, a timeline shows how the world has changed year by year until 2020. The tool was created in collaboration with experts from the CREATE Lab at Carnegie Mellon University. Google used more than 24 million images that have been taken since 1984.
What is particularly striking about Stuttgart is how much the district towns have grown. In comparison, the state capital has remained relatively the same – only Zuffenhausen and Degerloch have grown significantly over this period.
