At dawn on Tuesday, we were able to enjoy a beautiful and not very common natural phenomenon: a huge and pink-colored full moon moved across the sky.
If you missed it due to laziness, forgetfulness or bad weather, you don’t have to mourn any longer. We have selected some of the most spectacular images of the “supermoon” for you.
The supermoon was first seen in Asia and Oceania. These great pictures were taken in Indonesia.
Of course, the moon also took the time to pay a visit to the world-famous Sydney Opera House.
The views were also spectacular in America and Europe. The moon seemed to particularly like the skylines of San Francisco and Seattle.
The Statue of Liberty in New York was another spectator on a night like this.
There was obviously time for tourism in Europe too.
The lion over Waterloo in Belgium looked grimmer than ever.
In Glastonbury, England, some even tried to reach for the moon.
This is what it looked like all over the world.
And in Germany?
In Hamburg, the moon competed with the Elbphilarmonie for the most beautiful spot.
The Frankfurt skyline didn’t look as impressive as usual overnight.
The view in Upper Bavaria was also magical.

The moon shone most beautifully over Hohenzollern Castle.
