After 17 months of pandemic, Stuttgart can finally celebrate another open-air festival with live music and lots of surprises on Schlossplatz.
It took more than a year before we were able to enjoy the atmosphere and music of open-air concerts. But the wait is finally over. Tomorrow afternoon, the SWR Summer Festival returns. And on a wonderful stage: the Schlossplatz.
Many well-known artists will be performing over the four days of the festival. Swiss pop star Beatrice Egli, soul singer Stefanie Heinzmann, the SWR 1 team from “Pop und Poesie” and many more are sure to delight the audience. And the icing on the cake: the premiere of a new “Tatort” episode, which will even feature the presence of the two main actors: Richy Müller and Felix Klare.
The usual corona measures will apply for the duration of the entire festival: A maximum of 2000 visitors are allowed on the site and the 3G rules remain in force. In addition, spectators must remain in their seats during the concerts. Tickets for some events are already sold out, but the organizers can still offer additional seats.
In any case, the return of SWR is a small step on the way back to normality, both for the music industry and for Stuttgart’s culture.
