What is “The Jury Experience”?
“The Jury Experience” in Stuttgart puts the audience directly on the jury bench in a gripping courtroom drama! Unlike in traditional theater, you are not just a passive spectator, but an important part of the process. Professional actors present you with opening statements, intense cross-examinations and emotional witness testimonies – and you have to use all this information to form your own opinion about the case and finally vote together on the guilt or innocence of the defendant.
What is the trial about?
Who is to blame when technology takes control and something goes wrong? The case centers on an accident involving a self-driving car, which raises complex questions about responsibility and ethics. You examine various pieces of evidence and ultimately have to weigh them up: Who is liable when an algorithm makes a fatal decision – the programmer, the company or perhaps the passenger who put their trust in the technology after all?

The Jury Experience immerses you in a detailed courtroom where every element is designed for authenticity. Over the course of 60 minutes, you will experience the entire trial live: from sworn testimony to the multimedia presentation of evidence. At the end, you will be invited to cast your vote and decide the fate of the accused as a jury. The immersive theater experience encourages you to develop your critical thinking and engage with interesting philosophical questions in an entertaining way.

The event is for participants aged 12 and over and admission is usually 30 minutes before the start of the show. If you want to get good seats, it can definitely be worth arriving early, as the seats within the individual categories are allocated freely.
