Jazz, its history and the show
The emergence of jazz in New Orleans in the early 20th century marks one of the most significant developments in music history. It was here that African rhythmic traditions, European harmonies and Caribbean influences came together and merged to form a new art form. Building on the structured compositions of ragtime and the emotional depth of the blues, the early jazz pioneers developed a revolutionary musical style characterized by syncopated rhythms and improvisation.
“We call it Jazz” honors this legacy with a musical journey through the genre, beginning with classics from New Orleans and extending through instrumental improvisations. The highlight includes renditions of Billie Holiday’s “Summertime” and Ella Fitzgerald’s legendary “All Of Me”. Throughout the performance, the musicians step into the spotlight individually and present improvised solos that demonstrate both technical brilliance and creative vision.

The international event series “We call it” brings you a varied program of rousing dance and music shows, including highlights such as “We call it Ballet” and “We call it Flamenco”, in which different genres are presented to you in authentic stage shows.
