We already have the good news of the week: Wilhelma and the Baroque in Bloom at the State Parks and Gardens in Ludwigsburg are opening their doors again. However, stricter conditions apply.
Guests and animals will finally be able to meet again, but only in the outdoor areas of the zoo. For this reason, the reduced winter rate applies: 15 euros for adults, 5.50 euros for children. However, under-six-year-olds are admitted free of charge.
However, that is not the only thing that will change: Tickets must be purchased online for a specific period of time. In addition, guests aged six and over must present a negative rapid test that is no more than 24 hours old. Only rapid tests from official bodies will be accepted, not self-tests. Official proof of identity must also be presented.
In total, only up to 4,000 people are allowed on the site at any one time and they must wear surgical or FFP2 masks at all times. Director Thomas Kölpin calls for caution in the hope that “the opening will last longer this time”. After three closures and three reopenings, we can only keep our fingers crossed.
Blühendes Barock also opens tomorrow
Both the garden show and the fairytale garden will reopen on Wednesday. Visits will be possible from 9 am to 7 pm.
However, the hygiene and safety measures will essentially be the same as at Wilhelma. In total, only up to 4,000 people will be allowed on the site at any one time and only one-way traffic will be permitted.
