In Secret Stuttgart, we regularly present our favorite places where you can order your delicious food or eat it directly on site. But what if we had to list the worst restaurants in the cauldron? With the help of the top rating tool, which lists the lowest ratings in 2021 by establishment on Google, we have put together a small overview of the worst addresses in Stuttgart (according to some…).
Beer garden (at the airport)
As it is still closed due to the corona health measures in place at the airport, being ranked as the worst place to eat in the whole of Stuttgart is surprisingly not the worst thing that has happened to the Biergarten.
Not every sausage with curry is automatically a currywurst – Lena (Google Reviews)
We won’t deny that making a currywurst is a true art, nor will we ignore the complaints about the fried potatoes. However, as many other users point out, the prices are more than reasonable for an airport restaurant, the place is quite nicely designed and the Kaiserschmarrn is good. Is it good enough for your next trip?
Birkan Kebap
The Birkan Kebap in the Neue Vorstadt, was rated 2.1/5 out of 224 people and was involved in a scandal because of the questionable hygiene shown in a video. As a result, it doesn’t look very appetizing at first glance – and apparently not even after tasting the meat, which is often considered too dry.
Far too expensive for the quality. Tastes yaaahhhh. – Himmel Emil Robert (Google Reviews)
We can argue all day long about the taste of individual eateries – and some do in the Google reviews. But these are some things no one complains about: Birkan Kebap is open around the clock, so it’s the perfect place for a bite to eat after partying. And considering it’s supposed to be packed every night, it must be for many other partygoers too. What’s more, many reviews claim that the place is now very clean. So it’s worth a try.
Luigi’s
In third place on this list of shame is the Italian restaurant Luigi’s in the Europaviertel – a place where some people complain about the service.
If you want to eat there, you have to plan an extra day, because you’ll spend it with a lot of mess in the toilet – Jana (Google Reviews)
Well, what can we say. When you hear nature calling, you have to answer the call. There’s nothing wrong with that. And who says the waiters don’t speak German: It doesn’t get any more Italian than that. But joking aside, Luigi’s is also known for its pizza. “It’s pretty good for the price” and “You rarely get anything comparable for the price in Stuttgart” are just some of its virtues. Perfect for a quick, cheap and tasty pizza between meals.
