Are you always on the hunt for the best locations to photograph? Then we have just the thing for you: a list of the top photo spots in Stuttgart. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro – you’re sure to take a great photo at these locations. We have compiled the photos of some great photographers. Let yourself be inspired, grab your camera and set off.
1st Wernhaldenpark
Photographers who are inspired by the landscapes of romantic painters will find their dream come true in the park: beautiful sunsets over the city, beautiful villas nearby, trees and vineyards all around and the peace of knowing you are safe from cyclists and cars on the Neue Weinsteige.
2nd Solitude Palace
We have already dedicated a detailed article to this baroque architectural jewel. Duke Carl Eugen’s summer residence offers wonderful views at any time of year – especially in winter snow – and a 13 km long path through its parks to Ludwigsburg, which is absolutely worth a hike.
3. city library
What else can we say that hasn’t already been said? CNN declared this one of the most beautiful libraries in the world, and they were too late. You can’t call yourself a Stuttgarter and not have been here – even if it’s just to borrow a book.
4th Höhenpark Killesberg
Killesberg simply has it all: a historic funfair, endless fields of flowers, the now mythical park railroad and the observation tower above it all. Even a one-armed man with a Nokia 3310 could take good pictures here.
5th Wilhelma
Some may prefer places with wilder nature, but you won’t find anything more varied and exotic than here: more than 8000 plant species, animals from all over the world, the simply stunning water lily pond and, of course, the Moorish-style buildings.
6th Birkenkopf
511 meters high, the view over the basin is quite spectacular. If you add the monumental cross and the ruins and remaining facades of the surrounding buildings destroyed in the Second World War, you get the photo hotspot in the west of Stuttgart.
7th Milaneo
Actually, the whole Europaviertel is a paradise for lovers of modern architecture, but the business center combines the dynamics of its forms and its surroundings with its cool shop windows (especially at night) in a very beautiful way.
